Why it matters
The producer
The Fariña family's grape selling operation became direct winemaking under Robustiano Fariña in 2000. Attis Bodegas y Viñedos SL is the producer created by that move, with the family behind its own house label. Its named wines are Attis Lías Finas and Attis Mar. Lías Finas is the Albariño wine, while Attis Mar is a separate expression with its own ageing method.

Where the wines begin
Galicia is the regional setting for Attis, with Rías Baixas as the appellation carried by Lías Finas. Albariño names the grape in that wine. No village or parcel is confirmed for the producer, so the bottles are separated by cellar method rather than a named site.

The range in view
The named range has two contrasting wines. Attis Lías Finas is composed of 100% Albariño grapes and ages on lees in steel tank and oak vat, with batonnage stirring the lees to build a creamy texture. Aniseed, almond and slight ginger spice sit over that texture, while the acidity remains integrated and the palate feels rounded. Attis Mar is the separate expression in the range.
