Château de Sales sits in the northwest corner of Pomerol. The château building is the only château building in the appellation. The two wine names separate the property's first wine from its second wine.

The range in view
Château de Sales is the first wine, while Château Chantalouette 2016 is a red Pomerol second wine. Chantalouette uses the same methods in the vineyard and winery as Château de Sales, then matures partly in oak barrels and partly in tanks.
Château de Sales ferments in temperature controlled concrete tanks, with total vatting around three weeks depending on the lots and grape varieties. The wine is smooth and refined, fruit driven and marked by silky tannins.
