The two named red wines use separate appellation names. Château Monconseil Gazin Grande Réserve is labeled Blaye. Château Monconseil Gazin Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux 2020 is two thirds Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon and a splash of Malbec.
The Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux bottling is scented and harmoniously balanced. The Grande Réserve 2019 displays aromatic sweet oak with good acidity, cassis and red fruits, and is a little tannic.
