Why it matters

The producer

Domaine Alain Graillot was founded in 1985 by Alain Graillot after working with Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac; Maxime and Antoine Graillot have led the estate since 2008. Its Crozes-Hermitage holdings exceed 50 acres, alongside small parcels in Saint-Joseph and Hermitage, while the cellar favors whole clusters and primarily one- to three-year-old Burgundy barrels.

Wines to know

The range in view

The documented Crozes-Hermitage red is 100% Syrah from Les Chênes Verts, while the Blanc combines 80% Marsanne and 20% Roussanne. In great years, the domaine also produces a small La Guiraude barrel selection.
