The producer
Bertrand Bachelet works in Dezize-lès-Maranges as the current operator of a family domaine whose vineyards extend across the Côte de Beaune. The range includes red and white Burgundy alongside Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées, a named Pinot Noir wine.
Bachelet gained practical winemaking experience through internships at Château Mont-Redon in the Rhône Valley and in Rully under Vincent Dureuil. The domaine's present work combines family vineyard knowledge with training gained in other cellars.

Where the wines begin
The home village is Dezize-lès-Maranges in the Côte de Beaune. The vineyards run from Maranges to Pommard, while the range includes Chassagne-Montrachet, Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Gevrey-Chambertin.
The labels move between regional Burgundy, village wines and named bottlings. Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune gives the range a regional address, while Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées names a more specific wine within the Burgundy landscape.
In the cellar
Vineyards and cellar
Les Seuvrées matures in oak casks with 30% to 40% new barrels for approximately twelve months. It then spends three to six months in stainless steel tanks. Oak ageing allows controlled oxygen contact and can add spice and texture, while tank ageing keeps the finish direct and preserves the wine's cellar shape.

The red range includes Maranges Rouge Domaine Bertrand Bachelet, Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge Domaine Bertrand Bachelet, Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Bertrand Bachelet and Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées. The first three are Côte de Beaune wines, while Les Seuvrées is the named Pinot Noir bottling from brown clay-limestone soil.
The white range includes Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Sous Roche Dumay Blanc, Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Sur Gamay Blanc and Santenay Blanc Domaine Bertrand Bachelet. The Santenay Blanc vintage represented here is 2021.
