Gigondas vineyards occupy steep terraces along the Dentelles de Montmirail limestone massif. The southern exposure is part of the physical setting named for the estate's main vineyards, while the wine shows the site in a more tactile form: Les Hauts de Montmirail carries mineral saltiness beside black and blueberry fruit.
Cairanne Les Travers places the same producer in a different appellation and blend. Its 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Carignan and 10% Mourvèdre composition leads toward blackberry, cherry, leather, pepper and spice. The label change brings a different aromatic register, not merely another name for the Gigondas wine.

Organic certification places the vineyard work under the BIO label, certified by Certipaq BIO FR-BIO-09. In the cellar, the wines receive no chemical inputs during vinification apart from a minuscule dose of sulphur at bottling.
