The producer
Muscat is the wine that defines Domaine de Coyeux. The domaine produces Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, AOP Beaumes-de-Venise wines, a limited production of Cru Gigondas, and white and red wines in IGP Méditerranée and Côtes du Rhône.
The red wines use Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. The estate is also known for the freshness of its Muscat, a character linked to its terroir and meticulous winemaking process. Beaumes-de-Venise is the home locality, at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail mountains. The place name appears in both Muscat de Beaumes de Venise and AOP Beaumes-de-Venise wines, while Cru Gigondas and Côtes du Rhône extend the range into other Rhône designations.
An AOP is a protected appellation category, so the name on the bottle identifies a defined regional wine. Here, Beaumes-de-Venise covers both the sweet Muscat wines and the estate's other appellation wines, while the broader IGP Méditerranée and Côtes du Rhône wines occupy separate positions in the range.

Vineyards and cellar
Current wines come from vineyards aged between 40 and 70 years alongside more recent plots. The range includes red plantings of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, giving the estate material for Beaumes-de-Venise, Cru Gigondas and Rhône red wines.
The Muscat is made through a meticulous winemaking process. Its freshness is treated as a defining feature of the wine, while the vineyard age spread brings both established plots and newer plantings into the estate's production.
