Why it matters

The producer

Jesuit friars built the clay jars and concrete tanks that remain in use at Casa Los Frailes. Miguel and María José Velázquez represent the current family at the estate. The vineyards have held organic certification since 2002 and are farmed with biodynamic agriculture. Los Frailes brings historic cellar vessels and present day vineyard work together in one Valencia estate.

Place and vineyards

Where the wines begin

Casa Los Frailes sits in the Alforins valley, in the inland southwestern part of Valencia province. Blanc de Trilogía comes from Viña de la Era, a ten hectare parcel at 650 metres divided among the three grapes used in the wine. The bottle carries one vineyard address while combining three varieties.

Wines to know

The range in view

Los Frailes Blanc de Trilogía 2024 is a still white blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Muscat and 20% Verdil. All three grapes come together in one bottle from the Viña de la Era parcel.

Blanc de Trilogía is citrus led and fresh, with capacity to gain complexity through ageing. In white wine, bottle ageing can develop additional aromas and texture as the primary fruit changes.
