Why it matters
The producer
Les Quatre Tours is a cooperative wine producer based in Venelles, working with associated winegrowers on the Trevaresse slopes. Its certifications include Organic, NOP and HVE. The range spans rosé and red wines, and Domaine de Collavery is currently owned by Les Quatre Tours.
Place and vineyards
Where the wines begin
The vineyards cover five villages north of Aix-en-Provence, with Venelles and Puyricard as the principal locations. The climate is continental, moderated by the Durance River and influenced by the Mediterranean. The vineyard is divided between 80% Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence PDO land and 20% Mediterranean and Bouches-du-Rhône PGI land, so the range includes both appellation wines and broader geographic indications.

The range covers two rosés and one red. Quatre Tours Aix-en-Provence Rosé 2025 combines Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Clairette, with a fresh taste of red berries, citrus and white peach.
Quatre Tours Aix-en-Provence Rouge 2022 combines Syrah, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. Ten percent has been aged in oak barrels, and the wine is balanced, with dark berries, spice, lightly toasted notes and soft tannins.
