The producer
The family business behind Maison Antech began in 1860. Françoise and Baptist now steward the house, combining inherited knowledge with experimentation for each vintage. Organic farming belongs in the vineyard, while prolonged ageing on lees belongs in the cellar. The wine rests on yeast sediment during this period, which can build creamier texture and savoury notes. Its sparkling wines come from Limoux.

Limoux is a historic sparkling wine region dating back to 1544. Maison Antech makes its sparkling wines in this region, with individual cuvée names including Cuvée Françoise, Emotion Rosé and Eugénie Extra Brut.

The range in view
Maison Antech's named range includes Cuvée Françoise, Emotion Rosé and Eugénie Extra Brut. Cuvée Françoise is the flagship blend, made from 70% Chardonnay, 20% Chenin Blanc and 10% Mauzac. Mauzac also appears in Maison Antech's Blanquette wines.
The flagship blend shows vibrant greengage and white flower aromas with a hint of lemon curd. On the palate, it has mineral character, fine acidity and persistent bubbles. Emotion Rosé shows red fruits and fresh flowers, with subtle citrus and strawberry notes on the palate. Eugénie Extra Brut is round and delicate, with spring flowers and fresh fruits. Extra Brut is a dry sparkling category with very little added sugar.
