The producer
Carlo and Dante Mondavi are fourth-generation winemakers and farmers: Robert Mondavi was their grandfather and Tim Mondavi their father. They founded Raen on Sonoma Coast’s western boundary, where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the two grapes under cultivation. Melanie McIntyre is part of the winemaking team, working within a project built around coastal sites rather than the family’s earlier Napa associations.
