The producer
Raventós i Blanc is an estate winegrower built around one unusually continuous piece of land. The family has worked the 90 hectares at Sant Sadurní d’Anoia since 1497, and the property still joins vines, woodland and a lake as one agricultural entity. The sparkling wines carry the name Conca del Riu Anoia while the family pursues a new designation of origin, placing the estate’s own geography at the centre of its labels.
Pepe Raventós represents the twenty-first generation. His work across 44 biodynamic plots connects the old family holding with a parcel-led range. De Nit gathers fruit from four named vineyards, while Textures de Pedra isolates Vinya Més Alta, a hilltop plot near the Anoia River. The difference between those bottles begins in the vineyard map and continues through the cellar.

Where the wines begin
Sant Sadurní d’Anoia sits in Catalonia, a short distance from Barcelona, and provides the home address for the estate’s sparkling wines. The labels use Conca del Riu Anoia as the producer’s chosen designation while a new DO remains an ambition. Place is therefore more than a regional backdrop: it appears in the way the wines are named and in the decision to present separate estate parcels.
De Nit draws from Barbera, Plana, Viader and Serral, all vineyards at Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. Textures de Pedra comes from Vinya Més Alta, at the top of Turó del Serral within Vinya dels Fòssils near the Anoia River. One wine reads across several estate parcels; the other concentrates on a single elevated position.

Vineyards and cellar
Raventós i Blanc farms the estate as a complete agricultural unit, retaining vines, woodland and a lake alongside the 44 biodynamic plots. The farming choice places the sparkling wines inside a wider working landscape, while the parcel names keep individual vineyard origins visible.
De Nit uses the traditional method, with its second fermentation in bottle. Textures de Pedra begins with base wine fermented in small oak barrels at least five years old, then spends four years on its lees before disgorgement. No dosage is added. The older barrels shape the base wine without a new-oak claim, and the long lees period gives the wine a cellar-defined texture before its dry finish.
Wines to know
The range in view
De Nit is the range’s rosé sparkling wine, assembled from Barbera, Plana, Viader and Serral at Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. Its white varieties come from clay-loam parcels associated with freshness and elegance. A professional tasting of De Nit 2023 found fresh ripe red fruit, white flowers, herbs and toast, giving the wine a profile that moves from fruit to floral lift, herbal detail and savoury autolytic notes. De Nit 2024 is listed as organic and made by the traditional method.
Textures de Pedra occupies the single-vineyard end of the range. It comes from Vinya Més Alta on Turó del Serral, with base wine fermented in small mature oak barrels, four years on its lees and no dosage. Those choices point to a dry, lees-textured sparkling wine with oak used as a cellar vessel rather than a source of overt new-wood flavour.
