Why it matters

The producer

Rozès began in Bordeaux in 1855, when wine merchant Ostende Rozès imported and traded Port. Edmond Rozès later developed the company’s Port reputation and created the Porto Rozès brand around the 1930s, including its distinctive bottle shape. Since 1999, the house has belonged to the Vranken Pommery Monopole Group.
