Why it matters

The producer

Urban Wines operates from Stockholm as an importer and distributor. Johan Broberger is Managing Director. The team brings experience from the Swedish wine business, Michelin-starred restaurants and major FMCG companies.

The company controls Golden Year and Luceviva as house brands while also working with partner brands. The wider range crosses several categories and origins, with names including Jean Vidérue Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Finca Almendral Gran Reserva, Lepont & Fils Petit Chablis and Vieira Atlantica Albariño.

Wines to know

The range in view

Golden Year Rosé is a Pays d'Oc wine made from Grenache and Syrah. The Grenache skins receive approximately 12 hours of skin contact during fermentation. Its berry-led, very fresh profile carries strawberry, rhubarb, watermelon and citrus. It is served at 8 to 10°C, either by itself or with fish, seafood and salads.

Luceviva Orange 2024 has a nuanced, fruity profile with subtle astringency. Red apple, orange, marzipan, apricot, bay leaf and spice shape its tasting detail.
