Why it matters

The producer

Vinarija Erdevik was founded in 1826 by Count Livie Odeskalki and occupies a former Yugoslav state-run cooperative. Its vineyards are planted in alluvial soils with layers of clay and limestone, receiving both direct sunlight and light reflected from the Danube. The range includes Sauvignon Blanc, rosé and French-oak-aged estate reds.
