The producer
The Reinisch family is in its fourth generation of winegrowing in Tattendorf. Its history begins in 1923 with no more than 0.5 hectares in Ried Mitterfeld.
Today the family cultivates approximately 40 hectares, mainly around Tattendorf and also on the Anninger in Gumpoldskirchen. The new Johanneshof Reinisch winery was built in 1995 at Im Weingarten 1 near Tattendorf. The cellar has sorting systems, electronically controlled presses, and facilities for controlled fermentation processes.

Where the wines begin
The Thermenregion around Tattendorf and Gumpoldskirchen receives nearly 2,000 hours of sunshine annually. Regional soils include brown earth, alluvial gravel, and conglomerates.
A four-hectare Gumpoldskirchen holding is planted to Rotgipfler on deep, weathered soil rich in fossil limestone. Ried Kästenbaum is dominated by limestone and reaches 400 metres, making it the region’s highest vineyard. Forest encloses it on three sides.

The range includes Tattendorf Pinot Noir 2023, Pinot Noir Gumpoldskirchen Alte Reben Weingut Familie Reinisch 2022, Dialog Sauvignon Blanc Chardonnay 2024, Ried Lores Tattendorf Chardonnay Weingut Familie Reinisch 2023, and Gumpoldskirchen Chardonnay 2024.
Tattendorf Pinot Noir 2023 is ruby-red, with raspberry and sour-cherry aromas. The palate is fresh, with pleasantly silky tannins and a fruit-led finish. After fermentation in wooden vats, it spent ten months in large wooden casks.
