In Poland's Subcarpathia, about 160 vineyards cover roughly 150 hectares. Many sit on slopes around Jasło, Rzeszów and Dębica, with others near Jarosław and Przemyśl. The region has a temperate climate between maritime northwestern and continental eastern European influences. Growers commonly use interspecific hybrid vines, which perform well in Poland's climate and are more disease-resistant, making them suitable for organic cultivation. Subcarpathia produces red, rosé and white wines described as refreshing and intensely aromatic.
