Why it matters
The producer
Champagne Demière dates to 1936 and has continued through three generations. The house is based in Fleury-la-Rivière on the right bank of the Marne Valley and remains an independent family producer.
The wines combine freshness and liveliness with broad aromatic palettes. They are thirst-quenching aperitif Champagnes that can accompany food, with amplitude and persistent length in the mouth.
Place and vineyards
Where the wines begin
Fleury-la-Rivière lies on the right bank of the Marne Valley, in the historic heart of Champagne. The house works with all three classic Champagne grapes, while Blanc de Noirs Brut narrows the choice to Meunier and Pinot Noir.
Blanc de Noirs means a white sparkling wine made from black grapes. The cuvée keeps the colour pale while placing the two dark skinned varieties at the centre of the bottle.

The range in view
The range covers the full vineyard planting, a Blanc de Noirs Brut, and Solera 23. Meunier leads the vineyard, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay completing the planting. Blanc de Noirs Brut is 70% Meunier and 30% Pinot Noir, a white Champagne made from black grapes.
Solera 23 has a deep golden yellow robe, fine bubbles and a delicate creamy mousse. Its nose brings woody notes, exotic and dried fruit, and nutmeg. The palate moves from lively citrus to tart cherry and blackcurrant with toasted flavours, while acidity and discreet dosage keep the wine balanced.
