Margaret River

Margaret River sits within Western Australia, with the Indian Ocean to its north and west and the Southern Ocean to the south. Wet winters, long dry summers and strong maritime influence keep temperature variation relatively low. Cabernet Sauvignon is usually medium-bodied, perfumed and elegant, with fine tannins and balanced acidity. Cassis, blackcurrant, redcurrant, cedar and bay leaf are familiar notes. Chardonnay is concentrated yet refined, with mandarin, grapefruit, nectarine, gunflint and nougat among its regional descriptors. The traditional Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc blend is crisp, fruit-driven and generally made for fresh drinking.
