Eisenberg is one of Burgenland's Blaufränkisch areas. Its Blaufränkisch combines mineral fruit and spice with fresh and dark berry aromas and a note of white pepper. The DAC originally required wines to be 100 percent Blaufränkisch. Welschriesling joined the DAC in 2023, widening the category beyond red wine.
