Velkopavlovická is one of Moravia's four wine subregions, where warm winds and magnesium-rich soils favor red varieties. Frankovka and Modrý Portugal are especially well suited to these conditions. In Vrbice, sandstone wine-cellar structures rise in places as many as seven levels above one another.
