Bot River runs from the Bot River lagoon into the foothills of the Groenlandberg and Babylonstoren ranges. Afternoon winds move inland from the sea, helping to keep the maritime climate cool. Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc make fresh, cool-climate wines here, while Pinotage, Shiraz and other Rhône varieties also perform particularly well.
