Castel del Monte & Alta Murgia is a wine area in Apulia's Bari hinterland. Castel del Monte Bombino Nero DOCG belongs to the Central Murgia basin and requires at least 90% Bombino Nero. It is made as rosé around Castel del Monte. Castel del Monte Nero di Troia Riserva has a defined production territory centred on Minervino Murge and neighbouring Bari-area municipalities. Other listed appellations include Castel del Monte, Castel del Monte Rosso Riserva, Barletta and Moscato di Trani.
