Sancerre sits on the Loire's left bank and Pouilly-Fume on the right. Sauvignon Blanc is the main grape in both, with limestone, flint and marl behind wines that tend to be citrus-driven, herbal, mineral and brisk. Menetou-Salon, Reuilly and Quincy continue the Centre-Loire story under less famous labels. Coteaux du Giennois and Châteaumeillant are also part of the area's listed appellations.
