Bizeljčan PTP is a traditional denomination for red and white wines made with grapes from designated vineyard sites in the Bizeljsko Sremič wine district. Red Bizeljčan is based mainly on Žametovka and Blaufränkisch, with smaller amounts of other red and white varieties. It is fresh and fruity, with mild tannins and no dominant varietal character. White Bizeljčan is a dry still wine led by Laški rizling, with Sauvignon, Beli pinot and Chardonnay also permitted. It has a yellow-green colour, white-variety aromas and a fresh taste.
