Pokuplje lies around the lower Kupa in Croatia's Croatian Uplands. Its vineyards sit in the low rolling Vukomeričke gorice, within the Kupa drainage system. The area runs from Ozalj to the Kupa's confluence with the Sava near Sisak and measures roughly 70 kilometres long by up to 30 kilometres wide. Pokuplje is a protected EU wine-origin name.
