Dealu Bujorului has a viticultural research station founded in 1977. Its vineyards grow Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Fetească Neagră, Băbească Neagră, Fetească Albă, Riesling Italian and Muscat Ottonel. Șarbă is light, fresh and acidic, with peach, pineapple, mango, rose and lime-blossom aromas. Merlot is fuller and textured, with fine tannins, red fruit, plum, spice and herbs.
