Panciu is a wine area in Moldovan Hills where soil, humidity and sun exposure are associated with exceptionally high acidity. Its first classic sparkling wine was made in 1969. The vineyards include Fetească Albă, Fetească Regală, Șarbă, Galbenă de Odobești, Muscat Ottonel and several international varieties.
