Jerez (Sherry), within Andalucía & South, includes Jerez-Xeres-Sherry, Manzanilla Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Montilla-Moriles, Málaga, Sierras de Málaga, Condado de Huelva, Granada and VC Lebrija. In the Jerez region, white calcareous albariza is the characteristic soil. Dry Fino is made from Palomino and aged under flor. The first Jerez Sherry denomination regulations and regulating council followed in January 1935.
