Hérault gathers several of Languedoc's better-defined places, including Pic Saint-Loup, Terrasses du Larzac and the inland limestone terraces. Pic Saint-Loup brings limestone, freshness and altitude. Faugères and Saint-Chinian are associated with schist, while Terrasses du Larzac sits further inland and higher up in the foothills of the Massif Central.
