Pesaro & Urbino is Marche's northern wine area. Its listed appellations include Bianchello del Metauro, Colli Pesaresi, Pergola and Colli di Rimini. Bianchello del Metauro follows the Metauro River basin from the Adriatic Sea to the Cesane Mountains. The wine is made from Bianchello, also called Biancame, with up to five percent Malvasia bianca lunga, and is fresh, young and bright.
